The Atlanta Hawks Fell Short To The Brooklyn Nets!

Obnoxious Sports!  The Atlanta Hawks squared off on the Brooklyn Nets on the night of their owner’s (Jay-Z) Birthday.  Fighting to get another win at home following the blowout against the Golden State Warriors, who’s dynasty is over.  In black and peach uniforms the Peach State team could not pull. Ack to back winks unfortunately.  An exciting night at the State Farm Arena with it being Taurean Prince first time back since being traded to the Nets.  It was actually good to see him back in Atlanta and he was grateful for the warm reception and he even mentioned he was glad there were no boos.  Shocking that he was no longer a Hawk when he seemed to have been one of the go to guys on the team.

At one point Prince was the one player that often represented the team and spoke at the ribbon cutting of the Hawks new facility.  While talking to him during our post game interview he was able to share that he was disappointed to have been traded, but he knows it is part of the game.

“I love Atlanta and had been here three years and would have like to have stayed,” Said Prince.

The Hawks lead for the first half of the game and even though Trae Young had another 39 point game but it was not enough to get a win.  Something happened in the third quarter and the Nets took the lead and closed the deal 118 to 130.  Not sure what exactly happens to the Hawks,  it it has been the same issue for some time now.  The team seems to run out of gas and cannot close out the games and hold their lead.  Plus missing their big man John Collins is not helping either.

Atlanta has become an entertainment hub and you never know who is going to be sitting courtside.  From Reality Show names to Hip Hop Royality and everything in between.  One of Atlanta’s own Big KRIT performed during halftime and put on a great show.  With one of his hit songs ‘I Need Your Energy’ practically one of the Hawks theme songs.  The words are so true and it is the support of the fans that make a difference.  It was a time when most people came to Hawks games to see the team they were playing to now actually having fans that are there to see them play.
