Gospel singer Micah Stampley is mourning the death of his 15-year-old daughter, Mary Stampley.
“It is with a heavy heart that the Stampley family would like to announce the passing of their 15 year old daughter, Mary Stampley. Please keep their family in your prayers and respect their privacy as they deal with this traumatic event,” read a statement from the singer’s publicist on Tuesday (Oct. 22); spokesperson David Brand could not be reached for further comment at press time.
No further information about the cause of death was available at press time, though the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Mary Stampley died after suffering a seizure.
Stampley is a multiple Dove and Stellar Award nominee whose most recent album, To The King: Vertical Worship, was released in 2016 and debuted at No. 2 on Billboard‘s Top Gospel Albums chart.
