Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Obnoxious Media has just learned that Bishop Ronald Elwood Hill Brown of Orangeburg, South Carolina has died. We have very few details at this time, but will post more details as we get them. It seems the family made the decision to take him off life support today.
Bishop Ronald Elwood Hill Brown was born on Friday, March 14, 1947 in Savannah, Georgia. His family moved to Brooklyn, New York when he was eleven years old. At the age of thirteen, he attended a revival conducted by R. W. Shambach and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.
After accepting Christ, he became a member of the Deliverance Evangelistic Center. There he served as a choir member of the Voices of Deliverance until he went forth in the ministry at the age of sixteen. Bishop Brown was chosen to be the first Junior Pastor of the Brooklyn Church under the auspices of the late Apostle Arturo Skinner, founder of the Deliverance Evangelistic Churches, Inc. During his junior pastorate, he was the administrator and bookkeeper of the tithe department for the entire organization. He then began to prepare himself for the furtherance of his ministry by attending and graduating from the Deliverance Bible Institute in 1965. At the age of eighteen, Bishop Brown was the first full-time evangelist of the International Organization.
At the age of twenty-two, he opened the Faith Deliverance Evangelistic Center; later renamed Faith Tabernacle Deliverance Temple, Inc. Bishop Brown holds an honorary degree, Doctorate of Divinity, and Doctorate of Humane Letters from the United Christian College of Goldsboro, North Carolina. He was licensed and appointed Bishop of the United Pentecostal Churches of Deliverance to head the Faith Tabernacle jurisdiction under the auspices of Bishop S. D. Johnson in 1987. Bishop Robert Evans, founder of the End-Time Christian Fellowship Association in 1994, later ordained and gave Bishop Brown a formal Bishopric ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia.
Bishop Brown published two books, “Behold, Aaron’s Rod,” and “The Disturbing Christ.” His debut CD, entitled, “Live! Having Good Old Fashioned Church,” was released in September 1996 and remained on the Billboard charts for 30 weeks. He has also been featured in Gospel Industry Today Magazine and was one of the most talked about artist at the 1997 Gospel Music Workshop of America’s board meeting in Houston, Texas. He followed his debut CD, with “Live! Having Good Old Fashioned Church Part II” and “The Sounds of Pentecost.”
Bishop Brown has two sons, Mario Mendell Brown-Winans and Bishop Curtis R. Brown, but many spiritual sons and daughters.
His ministry is highly diversified in that he preaches with profoundness, revelation and demonstration. He has traveled extensively across the Continental United States and throughout the world carrying the word of God, and preaching sermons of holiness and deliverance.
