It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Mother Connie Smith.  One of the best The Church Of God In Christ had to offer.  Connie Smith was a Bishop’s wife and she served the national church as an adjunct mother faithfully working the platform.  The wife of one of the most intelligent men You will ever have the honor to meet and prolific preacher, Bishop Felton Matthew Smith.  It seems Mother Connie was due for a heart transplant, but they doctors were not successful in getting her stable to undergo the most serious surgery.

Services will be held in Nashville at Cathedral Of Praise, where Bishop Jerry Maynard is Pastor, Vice Chairman Of The Church Of God In Christ General Assembly.  How fitting for Mother Connie’s national homecoming to be in her hometown, Atlanta, Georgia.  The Saints will offer the final celebration of her life perhaps from Cathderal of Faith where she was a member prior to marriage and relocating.
