Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Obnoxious Media learned about a week ago that the last Sunday in February will be Bishop Stephen A. Davis last Sunday as Pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church where the late Bishop Eddie Lee Long pastored. It seems that it has not been a very good situation for Davis. Taking over the work of the controversial Pastor, who died under a cloud of suspicion has proven to be far to difficult for a man that had a good church of his own in Birmingham. Now rumor has it that Edward Long, the oldest son of the troubled bishop is possibly going to sue Davis over some serious financial issues. As a result, Bishop Stephen A. Davis has given his letter of resignation to the New Birth trustees.
Perhaps Edward Long will carry his father’s work since he is already running the New Birth Charlotte. However, it was said that the huge campus in Lithonia, Georgia is in foreclose and DeKalb County was considering purchasing it and make it a Civic Center. All of these issues and lawsuits is far to much stress for Davis and he has thrown in the towel. Still no word on who the next pastor will be Of New Birth.
