Obnoxious Report! A week after the sudden death of Tommy Ford, the 52-year-old’s Martin costars reunited for a touching tribute at the actor’s funeral on Wednesday evening.
Tisha Campbell, Carl Payne, and Tichina Arnold, who played Gina, Cole, and Pam, respectively, on the Fox sitcom, posed for a photo at a memorial service for Ford, which Arnold later shared on Instagram.
“Today was not easy..but by the grace of God we all got through it. Words cannot express our gratitude for all of your Prayers, Positive thoughts and Support for us throughout the years,” Arnold’s caption reads. “Tommy will be missed but most certainly never forgotten.”
Arnold clarified that Martin Lawrence, star of the show, which aired between 1992 and 1997, was in attendance as well.
“And PLEASE don’t ask ‘Where’s Martin?..’ he was there too…just not in this picture,” she wrote. “God bless you all. #LoveConquersAll #MartinShow.”
Last week, Lawrence remembered Ford, who was taken off life support at an Atlanta hospital on Oct. 12 after suffering a ruptured aneurysm in his abdomen, in an emotional post on social media, calling him his “brother” and giving thanks for their ability “to show true friendship on-screen.”
In a statement to EW, Lawrence said, “Tommy was not only a great costar but he was a great man and friend. He always brought with him his spirituality a positive attitude and so much joy. I am sad the world lost a great talent and that I lost a wonderful friend. God bless him and his family.”
